INTEGRITY LAB
[MERGE ARCHITECTS][CAMBRIDGE,MA][2022]
Integrity Lab, a company steeped in research and utilizing data to drive innovation, is dedicated to fostering intelligent technologies that enhance both organizational and ethical business practices. Desiring a modest, adaptable workspace, the company aimed to establish a hybrid work model welcoming back remote workers, situated in Harvard Square. This versatile environment, orchestrated by MERGE, supports various work modes, from independent desk work to small informal gatherings, and extends to larger collaborative conference spaces.
The cleverly repurposed compact space encompasses two meeting rooms of differing sizes, bordering an open work zone and a small kitchenette. The meeting areas feature a pleated, dual-toned acoustic wall that provides sound isolation while also introducing an aesthetic element of color and texture. An inviting, casual area extends from the kitchenette counter, offering a relaxed setting for social interactions and teamwork. The strategic positioning of the formal meeting rooms forms a bottleneck in the layout, separating the open office into two distinct areas: a quieter, more secluded desk space, and a more interactive work zone closer to the entrance.
