The Syracuse STEM Master plan study focuses on four primary STEM buildings on the Syracuse campus: Center of Science and Engineering (CST), Link Hall, Physics, and Heroy. The campus framework includes a comprehensive 20-year plan that involves a detailed assessment of the architectural and infrastructural conditions of these buildings. It outlines a clear roadmap for accomplishing their objective of fostering advanced research and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Our team at Perkins&Will adopted a unique approach to this study. By leveraging new technologies, we were able to generate a comprehensive database to guide the process. We developed scripts that enabled us to visualize the existing conditions, correlate different data sets, formulate new parameters, and compare them against our design baselines. These procedures subsequently informed our final recommendations.

The final report comprises Architectural and Infrastructural plans, renderings, and detailed phasing diagrams for each of the four buildings. These diagrams are supplemented by precise calculations for each individual building and the STEM facilities as a whole, demonstrating how the proposed enhancements will improve the current state and cater to the future research requirements and objectives of the campus.
